Blackthorn Farm is a small-scale cut flower farm in South Roscommon, Ireland. We grow dozens of varieties of flowers and foliage primarily in the flower field, with some grown in a polytunnel.

Sustainability is important to us. We raise our flowers here on the farm from seeds, bulbs and tubers. Wherever possible, single use plastics and harmful chemicals are avoided.

We provide high quality fresh blooms throughout the growing season (typically April to October) available to order online or purchase from our farm gate stall.

Our designs are led by Mother Nature. We pick the best of what is blooming to create arrangements full of movement, scent and texture.

Throughout the growing season, blooms are picked in prime condition and are dried and preserved for use in “everlasting” arrangements, including hand-tied bunches and seasonal wreaths.

Our dried flower pieces are one of a kind and will last indefinitely with care.

Our florals can add a wild and whimsical feel to any party, baby/bridal shower or wedding. Always seasonal and fresh, your flowers will showcase the best of what the field has to offer at the time of your event.

After submitting your enquiry, you will be invited for a full consultation before receiving your bespoke floral quote.

A hand-picked and carefully curated selection of seasonal blooms, ready to mix and match and arrange according to your own personal style. Create your own table centrepieces, bouquets or ceremony table arrangements using our local florals.

DIY Buckets can be a cost effective way of flowering your event, with each bucket containing a minimum of 50 stems.

During the growing season we will host workshops including “cut and arrange your own bouquet”, flower crown making and fresh wreath making. Workshops will be held here at the farm, both on pre-arranged dates (look out for these on social media!) or privately by request.
